Field trip August 26th-27th

Want to explore more about Hokkaido and it's industry? On 26th-27th of August SO is palanning e3 field trip. This year destinations are Yoichi eco-village, Lake Utonai and TOYOTA automobile factory. We will spend one night at Otaki seminar house where we can play sport games and make BBQ. Field trip is once an year chance, dont miss it!

Plan

1) Yoichi Eco Village
Want to explore some real eco- village this summer. We will be learning and doing hands on farming activities, stroll in the field, learn the techniques of eco-agri practices, their production etc. And to top it all, you will have lunch from the hand picked fresh fruits and vegetables.
2) Visit to Lake Utonai
Lake Utonai is located in the south of hokkaido. The place is very famous for its natural wilderness and attracts tourist from all over. It is famous for the beautiful swans that swim in the lake. We will have a quick tour of this beauty.
3) Toyota Automation Factory-
For the engineers and technology lovers we will visit the Toyota Automation Factory in Tomakomai. You will see how the world's biggest car maker produces its car products in an automated factory. We will have a brief tour and learn how robots work in the factory and how parts are manufactured.

<1st day> 26th August
9:00- Departure from Hokkaido University for Yoichi eco village
10:00- Yoichi eco village (farm activities, eco tour for fruit farming)
12:30- Lunch
16:00- Departure from Yoichi to Otaki seminar house
18:30- Dinner (BBQ)
<2nd day> 27th August
8:00- Breakfast
9:00- Departure from Otaki seminar house for Lake Utonai in Tomakomai
10:30- Lake Utonai (eco tour)
12:30- Lunch (at buffet restaurant in Tomakomai)
14:20- Departure for TOYOTA factory
15:00- Site tour in TOYOTA
16:50- Departure from Tomakomai for Hokkaido University
18:20 Arrival at Hokkaido University

Fees-
We have tried to keep the fees minimum so that students from e3 and other graduate schools can participate.
The fees for e3 registered students is 6500 Yen.
For non e3 students the fee is 7500 Yen.

(The fee includes bus fare, 4 meals, mid time snacks and drinks, a night stay at Otaki Seminar Hall with all amenities, and the entry pass for the eco village.)

Who can join?

This field trip is designed such that students from different graduate school can participate and enjoy nature with technology. All students of Hokkaido University are welcome to join our field trip.
