Development of novel anammox process for cost-effective and environmentally friendly nitrogen removal
Research abstract
We are currently trying to develop a novel operational method of anaerobic ammonium oxidization (anammox) reactors to achieve an efficient and cost-effective nitrogen removal. For this purpose, we are investigating the physiological characteristics of an anammox bacterium, Candidatus ‘Brocadis sinica’ and considering the full-scale application of anammox reactor with real wastewater.
