Development of enteric virus sensor

Research abstract

Enteric viruses, such as human norovirus and rotavirus, cause gastroenteritis attributable to contaminated drinking water and food. It is necessary to monitor the contamination in order to efficiently control the virus contamination and risk of infections. However, no detection method has been developed, in which low level of virus contamination can be detected promptly. In this study, we are going to develop a virus sensor by using a virus affinity envelope that can specifically adsorb enteric viruses.
