Research topic

Development of a novel method for the assessment of recycled water safety using toxicogenomic approach

Research abstract

A variety of chemicals discharged from our daily life and industrial activities are expected to remain in the reclaimed water. Conventional evaluation methods based on the toxicity of each component are now facing difficulties to examine the combined effects of numerous micropollutants and their degradation products. In this study, toxicogenomic approach is employed to collect the basic information for developing a novel assessment method of combined toxic effects of reclaimed water.
