Evaluation upgrading for long-term characteristics of roadbed structure in cold region
In cold regions, mechanical properties of the roadbed and railway subgrade is one of the research themes in our laboratories. The performance of roadbed and railway subgrade decreases gradually due to traffic loads or freeze thaw action.
In this research, a series of laboratory test, model test, field monitoring and numerical analysis have been performed to find a suitable subgrade structure in cold regions. The mechanism of progressive failure of the subgrade under various conditions such as unsaturated states is also focused in this research.
