April 24th (Wed) We welcomed 5 new 4th graders who were newly assigned to our laboratory, and we held a welcome party.

As an international exchange project with Hokkaido University and the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada, we invited Professor Ellis Naoko from UBC and held the seminar.
In the seminar, the research of biomass gasification and an energy supply system using biomass to reduce CO2 emissions in UBC was presented. We discussed about the use of renewable energy.

We held the farewell party for Ms. Kurokawa, who resigned our Lab.

Professor Nagano gave a new year's greeting to the laboratory students on January 7th.
Yale has been sent to students who are planning to graduation announcement presentation one month later.

The interim research presentation by Nagano laboratory B4 and M2 students was held on December 25th.
Prior to the meeting, Ali Mohammed Hassan Radwan was introduced as a new staff, Postdoctoral Fellow.

"The 2nd Japan-China Geothermal Heat Pump System Technology Exchange Meeting (China, Beijing)" was held at China Academy of Building Research (CABR) on 29th to 30th November 2018.
Professor Nagano, Associate Professor Katsura, Assistant Professor Sakata and two students attended the meeting from Nagano laboratory.
