CFM Lab. Event
We have been researching in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). If you join our laboratory,
you can have a wide range of experiences about CFD from editting program code to analysising of fluid by using completed program
made-up in our laboratory. You can try generation of computational grid, operation of supercomputers and visualizing of result data
all which are needed for CFD engineer.
We are studying CFD by connecting supercomputers in Japan. But no knowledge of supercomputers and Linux system is needed in advance. Students learn such skills by doing their researches.
In addition, many overseas students belong to our laboratory. Now, there are 6 students from China, Bangladesh and Malaysia.
A Japanese style party for graduation in our laboratory in 2008.
We have many ivents in our laboratory as listed below.
If you are interested in, please feel free to contact with Oshima (Professor) or Tsubokura (Associate Professor). You can see their contact information here.

We have many ivents in our laboratory as listed below.
- Laboratory Seminar
We have laboratory seminar every week. Two students make presentations about their research progress. All members have presentations in this seminar every two months.
- Group Meetings
This is a seminar that organized by each research groups in our laboratory. Combustion, aerodynamics and fuel cell groups have their seminar every week.
- Volantary Meeting
In this meeting, students have to prepare the contents themselves. The frequency is difined at any given semistar. In the winter semistar of 2009, students tried to translate "A First Course of Turbulence" to Japanese.
- Others
In April, which is the first month of summer semistar in Japan, we have a welcome party for new students at the professer's home. We also have a welcome party when new overseas students come Japan. In addition, we have some parties for year-end, passing of entrance examination for graduate school and farewell.
The following calender is year-schedule in our laboratory.
