Ireland - Japan Energy Seminar

Mar. 23. 2015 (Mon) 13:00?18:00
Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) - Hokkaido University (HU)
Organized as part of Hokkaido University's top collaboration project

Collaboration with top runners in 2014 as one of the projects to expand educational opportunities, "Collaborative activities with the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) that will establish the international standard of Hokkaido University Spatial Performance System Division major" (activity representative: Katsunori Nagano) was adopted it was. As part of it, on April 23, Barrington and others of the Ambassador of Japan visited DIT and four others including Norton President. On that day, after the courtesy visit to the president, we made a signing ceremony at the institute to conclude an exchange agreement between departments. The agreement states that short-term student exchanges should be established and developed into joint degree and others. After the signing ceremony, Ireland - Japan Energy Seminar was held at Suzuki Akira Hall. In the seminar, following the Ambassador of Japan to Barinton, three people from the DIT side, and including President Norton, Professor Nagano, Professor Akiyama, Professor Chikahisa, Associate Professor Mori from the Engineering Research Institute gave a lecture. Approximately 80 people from Hokkaido inside and outside participated and we finished our activity within a great success.

Jan. 29. 2016 (Fri)
Promoting International Strategic Cooperation for Hokkaido University 2017

From 13 o'clock on January 29 (Fri), we gathered by researchers in the Asian region who lead the world in the field of geothermal heat utilization system, and gave "Japan-China-Korea Innovative Heat Pump Seminar" sponsored by this laboratory we held at the seminar room of the Faculty of Engineering Frontier Applied Science Research Building. Prof. Liwei Wang of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, Prof. Bingxi Li of Harbin Institute of Technology, China, as an invited lecturer which are academic exchange agreements with Hokkaido University, and although it is not an agreement school, in addition to three young researchers from Korea young researcher representing the field of urban energy environmental engineering, including Prof. Yujin Nam, Pusan National University, Korea, Prof. Katsunori Nagano, Assoc. Prof. Takao Katsura, Project. Assist. Prof. Yoshitaka Sakata, Guest. Assoc. Prof. Junya Togawa from Hokkaido University, Shinya Obara of Kitami Institute of Technology, and a total of 8 researchers gave a special lecture. The seminar was followed by a speech by Professor Nagano after the greetings by Professor Nawa Engineering Research Institute, followed by the first session of the adsorption heat pump and the midstream coffee break. The second session was the geothermal heat pump system / heat pump network optimum system and the respective fields we got a professional talk about. It is possible to establish deeper information and opinion exchange by establishing time for question and answer on professional lectures such as present state of technology research and development that can contribute to solving urban energy and environmental problems, practical approach to problem solving and success examples. In addition to students, university officials, Hokusoken researchers, energy industry companies , manufacturer development developers in Hokkaido totaling more than 60 people participated in the audition, and the curtain was closed successfully.
