Laboratory Graduation Ceremony & Farewell Lunch for Ms. Kusaka
A farewell lunch was held for Ms. Kusaka, our technical assistant.We sincerely thank her for her significant contributions to our research and development activities and for managing various essential tasks within the laboratory.
In the afternoon, we held a degree conferral ceremony within our laboratory, as the University-wide graduation ceremony for Fiscal Year 2019 was cancelled. Congratulations on your graduation!

Retirement Celebration for Mr. Masato Nakamura, Technical Staff
Mr. Masato Nakamura, who has served as a technical staff member at the Laboratory of Environmental Systems Engineering, retired at the end of March this year. A celebration was held on his final day of work to honor his career.Over the past 41 years, Mr. Nakamura has been a cornerstone of the former chair and the current Laboratory of Environmental Systems Engineering within the Course in Environmental Engineering (formerly the Department of Sanitary Engineering).
We would like to express our deepest respect and gratitude for his long-standing dedication and invaluable contributions to the laboratory. We sincerely wish Mr. Nakamura and his family continued health and happiness in the years to come.

The 27th Symposium on Environmental Engineering
The 27th Symposium on Environmental Engineering was held at the Frontier Research in Applied Sciences Building, Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University, from October 31st to November 1st, 2019. Many students from our laboratory participated and presented their research at the event.Professor Nagano provided an explanation of the 'Japan-India Sustainable Development Consortium' under the STSI Program.

Our laboratory members went on a lab trip from Friday, August 9th to Saturday, August 10th. We visited several locations, including 21st Century Forest, the Asahikawa City Museum, and the Furano Winery."
