The Hokkaido University site
Please fly to the Narita or Haneda airport from your country, and change the flight to Sapporo, New Chitose Airport. Direct flights to New Chitose Airport are available from some country.
Distance from New Chitose Airport to the Sapporo railway station is about 35 minutes by train. It is convenient to take a train from New Chitose Airpot to Sapporo. The train station locates at underground of the airport.
The RIKEN site
For the RIKEN tour, please take a flight to the Haneda airport in the late afternoon of 27th (Fri) or in the early morning of 28th (Sat). It takes about 1.5 hours from the New Chitose airport to Haneda. From the Haneda airport or Tokyo to RIKEN, please visit http://www.riken.go.jp/en/access/ and the RIKEN site tour page.
