Aharonov-Bohm Effect

An electron moving in a magnetic field changes its phase, which depend on the electron's path. This effect is called Aharonov-Bohm (AB) effect, which is caused by vector potential. The AB effect for one electron has proved. On the other hand, it has been generally believed that AB effect of charge density wave (CDW) has never occurred since about 1010 electrons moves collectively when the CDW moves. Our group is trying to observe the AB effect of CDW using topological crystals and to create new topological device using CDW phenomena.
