The Tokachi-oki eathquake in 2003 brought tsunami to
wide areas along eastern coasts of Hokkaido, Japan on September 26, 03. This numerical
animation shows the possible evolution of the earthquake tsunami until 106
min after an occurrence of the earthquake. A non-linear long wave equation
involving turbulence and Coriolis effects is computed implicitly by using
Fractional Step method, LC method and CIP method. An initial displacement
of the sea bed is determined on the basis of an earthquake fault model provided
by Geographycal Survey Institute.
