Reliable information on actual conditions of structures coupled with effective models to evaluate conditions can lead to improved maintenance under life cycle management.  Depending on the evaluated conditions, proper intervention is necessary to restore or upgrade conditions.  Technical scheme for evaluation of conditions and interventions in turn offers the potential of reduced costs to maintain our infrastructures.  This laboratory has been trying its utmost to provide the basis as well as practical solutions for evaluation of damaged conditions in structures and interventions to improvement of conditions by both experimental and numerical approaches.  The outcomes of research have been utilized for domestic and international standards to serve the society for sustainability.  Structures dealt with are mostly concrete and hybrid structures.
