On class delivery and research activity at the Graduate School of Engineering following the emergency state declaration (as of May 17)

 

On May 14th, Hokkaido University has moved from alert level 2 to level 3 according to the Business Continuity Plan During Coronavirus Outbreak (BCP) (https://www.hokudai.ac.jp/covid-19) following the announced Emergency state declaration in Hokkaido Prefecture from May 16th.

We ask for your continued cooperation for prevention of COVID-19. The following measures are to be implemented at the Graduate School of engineering:

  1. All classes and seminars will be switched to on-line delivery mode.
  2. Experiments, practice and field study shall be as much as possible conducted online, however, when remote work is not possible, in person activities shall be conducted in small groups with full consideration for prevention of infection.
  3. Research activity shall be as much as possible conducted remotely. When personal presence is necessary, the time shall be limited and proper measures for infection prevention shall be taken.
  4. Student extracurricular activities are suspended.
  5. Please avoid sharing meals with people other than those you live together due to the higher risk of transmitting infection during the meal.
