About the laboratory

Description

Our research focuses on environmental factors that may affect our health and natural environment and cause (regional) environmental problems. Our research covers a wide range of topics, such as the health risks due to environmental noise, the pollution of the natural environment due to the changes in our lives, and the feasibility of local energy supply through biomass burning. We are involved in field observations, numerical analysis and simulation, and risk assessment.

Organization of research

There is no duty to the students except for the lectures required for their graduation. All laboratory members are gathered at meetings that are held regularly; however, research proceeds through individual discussions. Various instruments for measuring and analyzing air quality, water quality, noise, etc. are available, which help carry out the research theme.

Enrolled students' research topics

Each student has to set a research theme to contribute to solving environmental problems and conducts experiments, investigations, analyses, and discussions. Students are expected to study independently and to have a wide range of knowledge beyond the boundaries of engineering.
