Instead of Proceedings of this conference,

Special Issue: "New Proposals on Titanium Production and Molten Salts,"
in "Materials Transactions", vol.58, Nr.3 (2017)

Manuscripts due is September 1, 2016.

We would be very pleased if you would contribute an original paper (Regular Article) to the issue.
All the authors of the papers submitted to Ti-RT2016 are kindly invited to open them in a special issue of the regular journal "Materials Transactions". The international committee desires that this issue becomes a milestone of our research develpment.

All the papers submitted to this conference, Ti-RT2016, are considered to be the articles best suitable for publishing in this special issue. Please summarize the current results as an ariticle and submit to this special issue. However, please do no hesistate to submit the new articles related with these topics, no matter whether it is not opened at the conference. It is important to support and exchange the basic knowledge of titanium production in the molten salt. Please find a difference between the conference name (on Titanium Production in Molten Salts) and the title of this issue (on Titanium Production and Molten Salts)!

Topics of this issue: Titanium production, molten salt, oxide reduction, FFC Cambridge process, OS process, calcium chloride, Kroll process, refractory metal preparation, formation of rare earth metals.

General

What is Materials Transactions ?:
ISSN: 1347-5320(Online) 1345-9678(Print) / Publisher: The Japan Institute of Metals and Materials (JIM)
5-Year Impact Factor: 0.879 (2014); All the articles are written in English.

Being aimed to internationally provide scientific and technological information in the fields of materials and processing from Japan as the Asian core, "Materials Transactions" is collaboratively published with the agreement of the 12 Institutes relating with the materials. At 2000, "Materials Transactions" succeeded to "Materials Transactions, JIM" which had been published by The Japan Institute of Metals and Materials (JIM) since 1960. At 6 months later after the publication in the printed version, all the papers become free for down-load in the Materials Transaction Online at JIM and also in Materials Transaction at J-STAGE (Japan Science and Technology Information Aggregator, Electric.

Guide for Authors

See the pages given by the publisher. The reviewers check the quality of the paper. When the papers will be published in an "original" work, the duplication with the previous works should be avoided. At the conference, the participants can discuss with the previous works, but the papers printed in the journal should be original. If you can take a classification of "Review", the originality is not reviewed.

Manuscript Instructions

See the pages given by the publisher.
Template is available here. However, as the publisher prepares a final printing form, the authors need not to pay any strong attention in formating.

Application Form

See the pages given by the publisher.
Please register using the "Application Form" page prior to your submission. Earlier registration before the conference starting will be helpful for the organizers, and for your early review process.

1) Please select (x) "New Proposals on Titanium Production and Molten Salts 58-3". This is our special issue.
2) Intended Category (Please select only one). "Rapid Publication" and "Express Rapid Publication" are out of scope.
3) "Member Number" will be open if you are not the member of Japan Institute of Metals.
4) "Graphical Abstract" is recommended.
5) "Scientific and Technical Category" will be "IV. Materials Chemistry" and
"B. Chemistry of matallurgy, refining and recycling:". Then, you will select,
     a. High temperature physical chemistry
(metallurgical thermodynamics, physics and chemistry of melts, melt crystal growih, reaction rates, etc. )
     b. Metallurgy and refining processes
(metallurgical and refining processes, reaction processes, transport phenomena, process analysis, computational
fiuid dynamics, ultra-high purification, chemistry of materials recycling, removal of tramp elements, etc.)
Therefore, selection of "IV-B-(a)" or "IV-B-(b)" is recommended.
However the other classification is, off course, welcome.
6) Please send your manuscript (pdf format) with Application Form through the Web transmission.
7) You will be informed on the printing fee of 50 copies at least after acceptance of your paper.
The payment of this conference does not cover the printing charges of this issue.
