今年度のCOE Intensive Course on Advanced Drinking Water Treatment TechnologiesはUNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education（オランダ）のGary Amy教授をお迎えして７月２日（月）から開講します。Amy教授は米国コロラド大学在任中から水代謝システムグループとは長年の研究交流があり、本COE主催のワークショップ、シンポジウムではすでにおなじみとなっています。水処理技術に関する世界的権威のひとりですが、今回は、古典的技術から先端技術までを網羅する基礎的な授業を12回にわたり行ってくださいます。一回の授業はAmy先生の提案で、45分＋15分の休憩＋45分＋質疑応答でおよそ２時間を予定しています。英語のNative Speakerによる非常にオーソドックスな講義で すので、水代謝システムグループ以外の皆様の参加も歓迎いたします。

It is an honor to invite Prof. Gary Amy as a guest lecturer to the COEIntensive Course on Advanced Drinking Water Treatment Technologies.Prof. Gary Amy had served as a professor at University of Arizona andthen at University of Colorado, Boulder, USA. Now he is living in the Netherland serving as a professor of UNESCO-IHE, Institute for Water Education. He is one of world authorities in the field of Environmental Engineering with emphasis on Drinking Water Treatment and Aquatic Chemistry. This time he kindly agreed to give a general lectures on water treatment technologies and as a result the COE Intensive Course 2007 will be an orthodox lecture couse given by a native speaker of English. A duration for a lecture is 120 minutes including 15 minutes break. Those not majoring water/wastewater treatment technologies are more than welcome to attend.
