Background and target

There is large amount of shallow ground water, which is unavailable for drinking and industry, in area-based society. The ground water and the ground have large available thermal energy. In this study, technology and design method utilizing thermal energy of the ground and ground water for heating, cooling, hot water supply, and snow melting are developed.

Method

  1. Development of design tool evaluating performance and installation effect of systems utilizing thermal energy of the ground and ground water.
  2. Evaluating effect of ground water flow for utilizing thermal energy of the ground and ground water by experiments and analysis.
  3. Designing actual building utilizing thermal energy of the ground and ground water with the developed tool and validation of the calculation result of the tool after constructing the building.
