I. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

     1. Academic achievements

Applicants to e3 are eligible for exemption of an entrance examination when their academic achievements including graduation grade meet the minimum admission requirement set by the program.  If your grade is below the minimum requirement, e.g. below 3 out of 4, less than 80%, etc. , you can either appear for an entrance exam at the university or enroll as a research student first and take an entrance exam while being a research student.

If you are applying for admission to the doctoral program, you should be able to demonstrate your research potentials through publications.

Important!  After the applicant enrolled as a research student, he/she is no longer eligible to apply for the MEXT scholarship from e3 as such scholarships are meant for students from overseas.

V. APPLICATION

Finding potential supervisor

Japanese higher education places importance on research.  An important step towards your admission is finding a supervisor who's research topic matches your research interests. You should look for one or two professors who are doing research that you are interested in conducting and fill it in in the application form. Since websites of some laboratories are not up-to-date, the best way to find out laboratories' current research activities is to look at their thesis titles during the past five years.   Please click here to go the search site.

*Please note that due to their business some professors may not directly reply to your inquiry. After you have chosen a laboratory of your interest please contact our office.
